Honorable Mention Deep E Michael Donahue Tonight I'm sure to sleep, sure to dream. She's got a monopoly on the images... soft curves, suggestive smiles, meadow flowers in her hair. Summer dresses, game day chases in the back yard with the kids. I'll be the angry green man, Darth Mal, Sith, or Bio Bot, whatever characters suit the mood. I can play in color. Weary, I am falling as I write, to visions of tomorrow... but what of sound? Darling, where is our sound? There's no room here, under timber and plaster... in my slumber all the amps have been taken. At the bottom of a mountain, on a baseball diamond the Warwick Infinity sets to steal, with such deep tones lays down a rythym for the Epiphone to follow stark light holy chords, blues, jazz, or rock whatever cadence serves to soothe but tonight, in your summer dress you sought a largo a slow progression and I promise, falling, as we kiss, that our deep E will sound over the course, the stream and the sleeping children wrapped warm in the valley.
